Eat A Flower This Week


Serve up a slice of sunflower cake!

To create this spring time creation simply search out the following!

 

1.  1 box of store bought cake mix.

2.  1 can of store bought chocolate icing.

3.  1 cup or more or chocolate chip morsels.

4.  2-3 packages of yellow Easter Peeps.

 

Bake the cake as directed in a round pan. 

Remove from pan once cool and place on a platter or plate. 

Ice with chocolate icing. 

Surround cake with yellow Easter Peeps.

Sprinkle center of cake with chocolate chips.

An easy craft for ages 2 and up

Have cardboard or paper egg cartons left over from Easter? Why not let the kids use them to make a fun fall craft.

 

You will need:

 

cardboard or paper egg carton

green pipe cleaners

markers, paint or crayons

pom poms

craft glue

bud vase

 

Cut out the egg carton so that cups are the only things left and you have 12 cups. Let the kiddos decorate the egg carton cups with markers, paint or crayons. Poke a hole in the bottom of the cup with a pen and feed some ...

Teen Summit 2011 is a conference-style event that brings together teens, their parents, and community organizations to explore social issues and topics of interest for Gwinnett County's young adults.  Lively Teens Talk Back discussion panels will allow young adults to share their insights on social issues ranging from bullying to what it's like to live as a teen in a world without walls. Attendees will be able to choose from more than ten concurrent sessions, including living green, everyday self-defense, yoga for stress relief, understanding depression, gang awareness, and mastering your finances.
