Classic Tale Makes a Splash at Center for Puppetry Arts July 22 through August 3

Acclaimed Spanish puppet company, Periferia Teatro de Títeres, performs the English/Spanish bilingual production of Guyi-Guyi: The Other Ugly Duckling, a story about a crocodile accidentally born into a family of ducks. Guyi-Guyi lives happily with his family until he meets another crocodile and realizes his true nature. After learning that he is not like his feathered siblings, Guyi-Guyi goes on a journey of self discovery and finds that he is more than what meets the eye. Through play and humor, Guyi-Guyi is a new take on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story The Ugly Duckling.

Performance times are: Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 AM- & Noon; Saturday, 11:00 AM, 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM; and Sunday, 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM.

Tickets for patrons ages two and older are $9.25 (Members) and $16.50 (Nonmembers) and include the performance, Museum admission and the Create-A-Puppet Workshop (or To-Go Kit). Purchase tickets at www.puppet.org or by calling 404-873-3391.
