Scrooge & Show Tunes in Dickens Parody A Broadway Christmas Carol
OnStage Atlanta, across the street from the DeKalb Farmers Market
The classic tale of miserly old Ebenezer Scrooge gets a fresh and tuneful twist in A Broadway Christmas Carol. Three extremely versatile performers charge through more than 200 colorful characters on their way to merging uproarious Broadway musical song parodies with a rambunctious re-telling of Dickens' charming holiday ghost story.

Ballethnic Dance Company's Urban Nutcracker is to Tchaikovsky's holiday classic what The Wiz was to The Wizard of Oz. Their soulful reinterpretation takes place on Atlanta's historic Sweet Auburn Avenue in the 1940's, with the elegant Brown Sugar being swept away to a magical land by the dashing Chocolatier. Their whimsical Christmas Eve journey is filled with the spins and leaps of the Black Russian and the Reggae Rag Dolls. This creative spin on the traditional ballet will leave you with visions of Spice Drops dancing in your head.

Now in its 25th smash year, the most heartwarming story of the entire season comes to life when three visiting ghosts help Ebenezer Scrooge discover the true meaning of Christmas over the course of one fateful evening. Join the all-Atlanta cast of this holiday favorite and journey through Dickens' beloved tale while meeting favorite characters along the way -- like the generous Mr. Fezziwig, the selfless and beautiful Belle, and the adorable Tiny Tim. A Christmas Carol is a magical tradition for the whole family, and a great way to celebrate the season.
Everybody knows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's miraculous redemption, but what about his late business partner, Jacob Marley? Marley, after all, was the ghost responsible for the old miser's transformation, so isn't it time he got a little recognition? A funny and heartwarming show, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol takes you behind the scenes of Charles Dickens' holiday classic.

For his 17th annual Christmas show, Dave "Santa" Koz is back with his sleigh full of fresh takes on holiday favorites, along with vocalist friends Jonathan Butler, Christopher Cross and Maysa.

The Atlanta Master Chorale brings glad tidings and glorious music to Emerson Concert Hall at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Atlantans can disagree on the definitive smell of Christmas (fresh-cut pine trees? baking cookies?), but the definitive sound of the holidays? That would be Atlanta Master Chorale and their spectacular Christmas concert, now celebrating its 30th year. Let the talents of this nationally respected choir make the Yuletide hustle-and-bustle melt away, leaving only the timeless joy of the season.

The Gifts of the Magi is a charming and magical musical based on a pair of O. Henry's holiday stories. Set in 1905 New York, a pair of struggling newlyweds make personal sacrifices to purchase presents for one another in the cold and unforgiving city, before realizing that their love and devotion are the true gifts of the season. Also woven into the show is another one of O. Henry's ironic masterpieces, The Cop and the Anthem, in which a cheerful hobo does his best to get arrested so he can spend Christmas in a nice, warm jail cell. All of it is tied together by a newsboy-narrator who adds his own wry musical comments to this charming and spirited holiday show.
