I had never heard of dd’s DISCOUNTS (a retail store) before although they have several Atlanta locations. They recently expanded in the Atlanta market by opening its first store in Decatur in June. I was invited to a VIP sneak preview event at the new location. I was also able to view a small fashion show featuring the local Samuel L. Jones Boys & Girls Club, all wearing outfits totalling no more than $30 worth of dd's Discount apparel and accessories.
I was among the first to explore the brand new store, get an opportunity to chat with top dd’s executives, and was provided with a dd’s DISCOUNTS gift card for use during the event. I was surprised at just how far my gift card got at dd’s, where there are great bargains for the whole family up to 70% off discount department store prices! I was able to get a 3-stage potty sytem for my nephew($10), a kitchen play set for my daughter's friend ($10), a dress with removable shrug for my daughter ($10), a beach towel cover up dress for my neice ($4), among other things.

dd’s DISCOUNTS is a neighborhood destination. Because they're located in small shopping centers, they’re an easy place to shop for great bargains for the whole family. One thing I learned during the event is that they are part of the Ross Family, and I'm sure many of you are familiar with ROSS stores. Like Ross, they soon expect to be in most shopping complexes.
