My MacaroniKid loves to eat - but like most kids, fore goes the healthy stuff. When I was asked to review Mona's Granola, I was skeptical. I was pretty sure it wouldn't be a hit in our family but I'm always up for trying new things, especially to share with my readers, so I accepted the product. To my surprise, my MacGirl pretty much ate the whole thing by herself (over a period of time of course, although given the opportunity she may have eaten it all in one day)
She's not a fan overall of Granola, but this is a mix of Granola with her favorites - almonds, raisins, and sunflower seeds - as wel as has pure honey and vanilla extract - so for us this was pure deliciousness. With all natural ingredients, it's healthy - and it was filling as well. So it's great for an afternoon snack, great for packing for summer camps, and I'm personally planning on taking it on our vacation to Orlando later this year when we visit the parks at Universal Studios and Disney!
It can be eaten as is, or as a cereal with milk, or mixed into yogurt, or several other ways, all listed on the package. My daughter loved it dry as well as with milk. I loved it dry, and it was a great snack while watching TV or even at the movie theatre as an alternative to unhealthy, buttery, and expensive popcorn.
As of now, it's a little difficult to find Mona's Granola in stores, but you can find it at Publix, or order on-line. As mentioned above it contains nuts, so be aware of that. But if that's not an issue for you, I highly recommend this product.
