I have a 2-year old and trying to juggle Macaroni Kid, housework, shopping, and making sure I wasn't completely ignoring my daughter was a real struggle. I felt guilty when I in desperation would turn to the tv to keep her occupied while I worked on my stuff I had to get done. I've always had the thought in the back of my mind to find a preschool for her to go to so that she could interact with other children, learn, and play. Then, I found Praise Community Center's flyer stating that they're opening up and decided to stop by.
The facility was amazing, it has several dedicated rooms to separate out the kids so that the infants aren't with the older children, new carpeting, new paint, and it just smells freshly renovated. Pastor Bob is in charge of the preschool and is there to greet everyone as they come in and you can tell that he truly cares about you and your child. I have no reservations placing my daughter in their loving care.
Since they are a new preschool just opening up, they are running a special for the month of January, and for my readers, they're extending it past January as well. Normal prices for full day of preschool, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm is only $175, and for the church is offering Macaroni Kid readers $125 a week for your first month. There are half day programs available as well, any 4 hours in the day, as long as you're there by 11 or so. Those are normally priced at $125 a week but for your first month they're offering $90 per week.
They feed the children lunch and a snack, has structured lessons, signing time, crafts, and nap time for the younger ones. Overall, my daughter didn't want to leave yesterday and was so excited to go this morning.
