Three Words: Family Friendly Fun.

Family, I took my six children ages 11 to 1 years old. When we walked in the door, we jumped right into fun with a quick dance with Emmet that ended with some pictures. Next, we were led into a room that showed us how our favorite toy is made. This is where my husband and I split up with the kids. I took four kids to ride Kingdom Quest. This is an adventure ride where the rider gets to shoot targets to earn points while we are on our quest to save the Princess. My five-year-old was terrified to ride, but the employee who helped us on the ride assured him everything was going to fine and that the ride would be fun. Boy, was he right!!! My son requested to ride it again and so we did! It was fun to compete for the highest score and then see the picture taken of us at the end.

Once we were off the ride, we headed to the Ultimate Lego Ninjago Experience. Here we had a chance to play with Legos, try our hand on being a ninja, and to take a few photos. Each kid took their chance to try out their Ninja moves.

Off to Mini land we went. I must say it was awesome to see the Lego Movie 2 characters all over Atlanta. My kids had a great time finding Emmet and his friends all over the city. It is really cool how major Atlanta landmarks were made from LEGOS! It was truly AWESOME!

While we were off doing these activities, my husband was off with my two youngest enjoying the playground. There is a slide with large Legos to build with. We all joined up to play at Pirate Adventure Island. Here I found the youngest having the best time splashing in the water as the kids sent down the boats they built. They also enjoyed chasing each other through the pirate playground. This is where everyone really was able to play together both adults, big, and little kids. I then took the bigger four to watch the Lego Movie 4D show (the younger two were having too much fun at Pirate Adventure Island). I enjoyed the movie. It was funny and was a great addition to the original story. Worth seeing if you are a Lego Movie fan.

A must-do is visit the Lego Master Builder Academy. This is where your child can learn how to expand their creativity. The children were able to enter a Lego build competition. Each child was given 5 minutes to build their creation that would be sent down ziplines. It was fun to watch the kids compete and to see if their creations made it all the way down the zipline. Afterwards we took turns riding Merlin’s Apprentice Ride and building cars in the Lego Racers: Build & Test. Some pretty cool cars were built and raced down the different ramps that were set up. There were several places to search through for the best building pieces.

We had a great time. We were able to do everything in the two hours we spent there. I feel like my kids would’ve stayed and played for at least another hour or two. The venue may be small in size, but for my six children there was something to do for everyone. The staff was very kind to us and accommodating. We have been to Legoland Discovery several times during the last several years. We have even had a season pass before. If your child loves Legos, I recommend purchasing one. It is a great place to go on a hot summer day or a rainy day.
