Review Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic

By Rachel Horlacher April 26, 2019

My family got the oppurtunity to go to opening night of Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic. This was our first time doing Disney on Ice, despite being a publisher for over 2 years now, we've always had other obligations for the opening night, but this year we decided to sacrifice to be able to go.

Upon pulling into the parking lot, we observed most of the young girls were in Disney princess dresses, as well as some moms. Not being in costume was not a big deal, my kids didn't even notice. My oldest is 9 and she's the most into Disney of all of my kids, but she didn't care that she wasn't in a dress.

The show started with Goofy and Donald Duck trying to figure out a great birthday present for Mickey's 100th birthday. Then Mickey and Minnie come out with a marching band. They introduce all the characters and then several of the couples come out and do a number. Throughout the show, they briefly act out Frozen, Mulan, and finish with Lion King. I think my children were a little disappointed that Moana wasn't portrayed and Coco would have been nice, but overall, it was a delightful night and perfect for a little girl who is into Disney.
