FLOWER AND BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY

Celebrate Mother’s Day as a Family this Saturday at The Rock Ranch, where their mission of “Growing Healthy Families” would be difficult without Moms. Saturday June 1st's Flower and Butterfly Festival is a special time to celebrate both Moms and the beauty of nature. Located about an hour south of Atlanta, The Rock Ranch is a 1,500-acre ranch created by Chick-fil-A founder, S. Truett Cathy, as a foster home for children. The ranch has evolved into a public destination that serves all families and groups.  They host corporate events, camps, lodging, school field trips, and public festival events.  

 

In addition to this family fun destination’s offerings of more than 25 attractions, on Saturday, May 11, guests may enjoy making a special bouquet for mom (BYOV – Bring Your Own Vase), hand-feeding butterflies in a butterfly house, seeing a release of hundreds of beautiful butterflies at the end of the day (4:30 p.m.), and Mom will receive a free strawberry ice cream.  There also will be gardening and butterfly experts available for conversation and questions.

 

A day at The Rock Ranch is filled with action-packed adventure and memory making with a wide variety of activities* to appeal to all ages including pony rides, locomotive train rides, zip lines*, paddle boats, a carousel, cane pole fishing, pedal carts, Farm Land animal zoo, 55 ft. tall rock climbing tower*, gemstone mining*, a cow train, ball toss sports zone and speed pitch, giant jumping pillow, Tiny Town children’s playhouse village for kids, a museum of gems, minerals and geology, and more.

Hours of operation on Saturday, June 1, will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Rock Ranch Country Store will remain open until 5:30 p.m.

Admission is $14.99 per person plus tax for guests age 3 and older. Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.therockranch.ticketleap.com or at the gate on event days. Special pricing** is available for military, groups, and senior citizens. Annual passes are available for purchase and are a great option for families to be able to visit frequently. Concessions will be available for all events.

The Rock Ranch is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019. Founded in 1989, the Ranch has influenced hundreds of thousands of guests over three decades of stewardship.
