Creative Discovery Museum a Gem in Chattanooga

By Rachel Horlacher, Publisher of Snellville-Grayson-Stone Mountain Macaroni Kid November 20, 2019

Our first stop on our Chattanooga vacation was Creative Discovery Museum After being cooped up in the car for 2-3 hours my kids were more than ready to get out and play. I was worried that my 9-year old would be bored, but as soon as she saw the water table and the stop-animation section, we couldn't get her away. Unfortunately, we arrived about an hour before they closed, so were only able to see a few sections of the museum. My kids had so much fun in fact, every other attraction we went to was non-stop complaining about wanting to go back to the Creative Discovery Museum. We noticed that there was a roof-top playground, but as we were limited on time, we skipped that portion.

As you can see, each of my kids were drawn to different parts of the museum. Logan built a roller coaster for a ball to roll down. Ella chose the stop-animation, and Aubrey went to the 4-and under area. The nice thing about the 4-and under area is there is a designated space for them with a fence that the kids can't open, only the adults, so you're guaranteed of no escapees.

I highly recommend you make a stop at the Creative Discovery Museum on your next trip to Chattanooga.
