Christmas Tree Recycling

The presents have been opened, dinners eaten and families bonded. Merry Christmas to all. Now what to do with your live tree? 

There are several places in Gwinnett County to take your tree to be recycled. Not to fear if you live in Dekalb county, they offer free recycling as well. 

Gwinnett County Locations and Details:

  • Collection from December 26th to January 20th
  • Will be converted to mulch to beautify the parks
  • Must be free of lights, ornaments, frosting, tree stands, etc.

    • Grayson
      • Fire Station 8, 2295 Brannan Rd., 30017
    • Lilburn
      • Fire Station 2, 12 Harmony Grove Rd., 30047
      • Fire Station 3, 4394 Five Forks-Trickum Rd., 30047
      • Fire Station 22, 2180 Stone Dr., 30047
      • Lilburn Public Works/Flett Maintance Parking Lot, 4428 Lilburn Industrial Way (December 26th to January 25th)
    • Loganville
      • Fire Station 28, 3725 Rosebud Rd, 30052
      • Fire Station 30, 1052 Ozora Rd., 30052
    • Snellville
      • Fire Station 6, 3890 Johnson Dr., 30039
      • Fire Station 12, 2815 Lenora Church Rd., 30078

Dekalb County Details:

  • Free Christmas Tree Collection at Curbside
  • Collection from December 26th to January 12th
  • Will be converted to mulch to beautify the parks
  • Must be free of lights, ornaments, frosting, tree stands, etc.
  • Details:
    • Trees will be collected during normal collection service days.
    • Only trees 7 feet tall and under
    • Trees that cannot be trimmed to the required size may be taken to the county-owned Seminole Road Landfill or collected by the Sanitation Division’s special collection unit (fees may apply).
