Here is a letter from the new owners of the Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary:
WE HAVE A DATE! I have looked forward to this newsletter for the past two years. We finally have a date!! The date has changed numerous times over the past rainy months, but we are going for it. April 3rd we will open. For the first few weeks, it will be by reservation only so as not to overwhelm the animals or the park. Hours of operation are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a choice of Morning (10 am - 12:30 pm) Mid Day (12:30 - 3 pm) or Afternoon (3-6 pm). It's happening… we are opening! The reservation system goes live on our website today.
Now for the other great news. The bears are in their new home. It's magnificent. Watching them experience so many new things over the last month has been awesome. We are so excited to share that with you soon. You should be able to see some of those first moments on WSB news tonight.
I also want to convey how thankful we are. This was a much larger project than originally anticipated. We appreciate your support and patience. We have had construction teams and animal care teams working tirelessly (often while soaking wet). We have had volunteers that have blown me away by their generosity (website development, newsletters, logo, signage and so much more from Cyndi at Moonlit Creative Group, for example) have been such an amazing contribution.
