Mo Willems Comes to Children's Museum of Atlanta

Limited Time Exhibit Until May 9th

My family got the opportunity to visit The Children's Museum of Atlanta this past weekend to be one of the first to experience the new exhibit, The Pigeon Comes to Atlanta, A Mo Willem Exhibit. My kids have grown up listening to the Mo Willems stories and are absolutely in love with the Pigeon series. We have even been privileged to see Mo Willems in person during the summer programs the libraries put on pre-pandemic. Therefore, when we told the kids we were going to Atlanta to do the museum and the exhibit was Mo Willems, they were so excited. There were many different elements to the Mo Willems exhibit including, trying to feed a cookie to either the duck or pigeon, flinging a hot dog through glasses for the pigeon, a bus you can drive, and washing machines you try to find objects in.

On top of the special exhibits, they have their long standing areas like the grocery store, fishing pond, craft corner, sand tables, painting wall, etc which entertained my kids for the two hours we were there. We felt safe social distance-wise. Masks were required, you have to make a reservation online as they limit the amount of people inside at one time. You also only receive a 2-hour window to play in so they can have time to clean between each group of children and parents.

Overall, my kids had a good time and enjoy looking at the skyscrapers in Atlanta, so it was a win-win.
