The last time my family had pictures taken was in 2019, when my youngest was only 3, sh'es almost 9 now. I was beyond excited to partner with Gem Photo to update our family pictures. All the other children have updated pictures on our picture wall except my youngest, so she's always looking at our pictures and feeling left out since she doesn't have a current picture. She's so happy with the pictures, she not only wants one on the picture wall, but one in her room as well.
It's so important to capture pictures along the way despite our busy lives, since you want to have those moments and memories of when they're growing up. My son, he's 11, has a tendency right now to sleep no matter where he is, so we memorialized him sleeping since that is his current personality. I loved how we met out on a farm in Social Circle, as I work for agriculture in my day job. My oldest daughter, 14, also loves hiking in the mountains, but also just enjoys being in nature, so this setting was perfect. Grace didn't just do one setting, but we moved around the farm in the woods and the creek to get different settings. She also encouraged the family to smile and cooperate, mostly the boy, as much as he would smile. Grace was very patient with the children and was able to get both candid and posed shots of all of us. Here's a sampling of our photo shoot so you can see the amazing work.
