Halloween enthusiasts who want to get in the holiday spirit a few days early will have their chance as the City of Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts a zombie-themed hike on October 25. The event, being billed as Zombies!, will offer hikers of all ages the opportunity to engage in an interactive experience through one of metro Atlanta’s most beloved parks.
“This is an event we’ve been working on since last Halloween,” says Tucker Recreation Leader Joe Stewart. “We wanted to make sure from the start that this was an event that was open to hikers of all ages. So, we hope families will come out and complete this haunted hike together. We promise it won’t be too scary!”
The free event will see zombies try to take over Henderson Park. From 3-8 p.m., participants will hike the park’s popular White Trail and be given directions on how to defeat the zombies. To find the cure and stop the zombies, patrons must navigate the trail and dodge zombies to find a coded formula at the end of the hike.
