The Girl Scouts – which has around 3 million girl and adult members nationwide, boasts a long list of notable alumni. Former Girl Scouts make up 80 percent of women business owners, while 68 percent of women in Congress were Scouts. Girl Scouts has had an influence on shaping the careers and achievements of so many of today’s women. The popular Girl Scout cookie program generated $769 million last year and remains the nation’s largest business and financial literacy program for girls.
My daughter is a Daisy Girl Scout and yes we are selling cookies….so in order to support her efforts I am buying some extra boxes and doing a giveaway.Do I really need to tell you all about Girl Scouts and their cookies…you should know by now how addictive, I mean delicious they are.
